OBSERVING THE MASTER'S COMMANDS!
LIVING IN HIS SPIRIT!
We are not under the Law. We are not putting anyone under the Law. We are about Grace—His Favor! However, there are Divine precepts within the context of the Law, fundamental principles originating from YHWH's divine nature. He wants us to walk out a life of righteousness! YHWH is "righteous." He has said to us, Be holy as I am Holy! Since we realize within YHWH's commands, His attributes of divine righteous nature, we see as Believers that we have been given this same Divine Nature within us to obey these statutes in our lives! We are to live out an obedient life before Him! Here are three Scriptures that say it all!!!
We Are "Messiah centric!"
We are under a New Covenant... Messiah Yahshua has made, under His presepts!
1 Samuel 16:7 b
For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the [condition of the ] heart.”
The New Covenant is Jeremiah 31:31-33
31 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. 33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Ezekiel 36:24-27
24 I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
Romans 8:4
4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law [righteousnss within the law] might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
We are under His empowering Spirit, of Favor & Grace!
Philippians 2:13
13 for it is God who works within you[ empowered by the power of His Favor & Grace], both to will [His will] and to work [ work His work] His good pleasure.
Fullfilling the Law Through Love
Matthew 22:36–40
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, g“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And ha second is like it: iYou shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 jOn these two commandments depend kall the Law and the Prophets.”
Romans 13:8–10
8 wOwe no one anything, except to love each other, for xthe one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, y“You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: z“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore alove is the fulfilling of the law.
THE REBUKE OF 1700 ADDED FENCE LAWS
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
There exists a profound distinction between the Covenant of the Messiah and the additional layers imposed by the Jewish priests during the time of Messiah. The Pharisees and Sadducees made up an extreme number of Laws beyond what was Biblically given originally. Yahshua rebuked the Pharisees and Sadducees for trying to enforce these added, man-made laws.
Matthew 15:6 and Mark 7:13 tell us the reaction and how Yahshua took it. He spoke to them directly, confronting their practices and how it took away from what the ancient scripture which we are to obeseve!
Messiah Yahshua warned His disciples that these added laws were like leaven mixed into His Father's Laws. Yahshua was angry about the over-load placed upon those who were obeying the Father's Laws. In this, His disciples had their eyes opened and discerned and did not obey what was not lawfully given by YHWH! Today, we are embraced by the enduring Biblical Covenant of Messiah Yahshua! In this New Covenant, Messiah Yahshua calls us not only to follow but to actively walk in obedience to His divine instructions, living out our faith with purpose and conviction.
ULTIMATELY:
Yahshua always taught the Law given from His Father. He calls everyone to observe the Scriptures and the Godhead's instruction!
This is why Yahshua warned His Disciples about this leaven.
What Yahshua did was warn His disciples about the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees, which added 1700 additional fence commandments to those of the Father! These were not of God, so Yahshua would not obey them! This was manmade religion. Yahshua kept the Law. God's Word spoke that "You shall not add to or take away [diminish]" from what the Law of God has told us.
YAHSHUA ALWAYS TAUGHT THE LAW GIVEN FROM HIS FATHER. YAHSHUA CALLS EVERYONE TO OBSERVE THE SCRIPTURES AND THE GODHEAD' INSTRUCTION! WHAT YAHSHUA DID, WAS WARN HIS DISCPLES WAS ABOUT THE LEVEN OF THE PHARISEES AND SADDUCEES WHICH ADDED 1700 ADDITIONAL FENCE COMMANDMENTS TO THOSE OF THE FATHER! THESE WERE NOT OF GOD SO YAHSHUA WOULD NOT OBEY THEM! THIS WAS MANMADE RELIGION. YAHSHUA KEPT THE LAW. GOD'S WORD SPOKE THAT "YOU SHALL NOT ADD TO OR TAKE AWAY [DEMINISH]" TO WHAT THE LAW OF GOD HAS TOLD US.
Yahshua Never Abolish The Law!
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete." I did not come to destroy but to complete. “For truly, I say to you, till the shamayim and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done. "Whoever therefore tries to weaken even one of these smallest commandments, and teaches men so, he shall be regarded as small in the kingdom of heaven; but anyone who observes and teaches them, he shall be regarded as great in the kingdom of heaven.
‘And you shall love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first Command. 31 “And the second, like it, is this, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other command greater than these.”
Hear, Israel: LORD YHWH our God, LORD YHWH is ECHAD, an you shall Love LORD YHWH your ELOHIM from all your heart and from all your soul and from all your possessions.
The one who has My commandments and keeps them and is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.” ..... Yahshua answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him.
AS LONG AS THERE IS TRANSGRESSION IN THE WORLD -
SO THE LAW WILL STAND AS A STANDARD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!

The Instructions of Moses is considered “good” not merely because it outlines the rules, but because it reveals the heart, holiness, and covenantal intentions of God. Its goodness is multidimensional—spiritual, moral, communal, and prophetic. Here's a breakdown of why it's revered:
Spiritual and Moral Goodness
Reveals God's Character: The instructions reflects God's holiness, justice, mercy, and order. It’s a mirror of divine attributes, not just human obligations.
Defines Righteous Living: It provides a framework for ethical behavior, guiding Israel in how to live in harmony with God and one another.
Exposes Sin: Paul writes that the law makes sin known (Romans 7:7). It’s not the source of sin, but the spotlight that reveals it, leading to repentance.
Covenantal and Redemptive Purpose
Establishes Covenant Relationship: The instruction was given as part of the covenant at Sinai, binding Israel to God in a sacred relationship. It wasn’t just legal—it was relational.
Foreshadows Messiah: The ceremonial aspects (sacrifices, festivals, priesthood) point forward to the Messiah. Hebrews calls it a “shadow of good things to come” (Hebrews 10:1).
Teaches Grace Through Faith: Contrary to misconceptions, the Mosaic instructions was never meant to be a system of salvation by works. Faith was always central—Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness (Genesis 15:6; echoed in Romans 4).
Social and Communal Wisdom
Promotes Justice and Compassion: Instructions about gleaning, debt forgiveness, and fair treatment of foreigners show a deep concern for equity and mercy.
Maintains Order: Civil and ceremonial instructions helped structure society, prevent chaos, and preserve identity in a hostile world.
Misunderstood but Vindicated
Teachers have noted that the Mosaic instructions has suffered from “bad press” due to confusion between legalism and lawfulness. Teacher’s critique of “works of the instructions” targets distorted uses of the law—not the law itself. When rightly understood, the instruction is upheld by faith, not abolished by it (Romans 3:31).
In James 2:17-20, JAMES DECLARES THAT TRUE FAITH REQUIRES ACTION OR IN OTHER WORDS, OBEYING WHAT GOD HAS TOLD US, OBSERVING, KEEPING, AND DOING THE COMMANDS OF YHWH YAHSHUA.
Yahshua did not abolish the Law or the Prophets—He fulfilled them by living them out in His life. But “fulfill” does not mean “cancel.” It means to bring to fullness, completion, and proper understanding.
Yahshua was that Image for us and He was that Example! He profoundly was the true revelation of what the Law looked like and how to live it!
Let’s unpack this with great scriptural detail:
Key Passage: Matthew 5:17–19 (KJV)
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
What does “fulfill” mean here?
The Greek word used is “pleroo”, meaning to make full, to bring in the Law in its fullness, to bring to its intended revealed meaning.
Yahshua is saying He came to embody, live out, and teach the fullness of the Law—not to nullify it.
Yahshua’s Relationship to the Law
Luke 4:16 (KJV) — He kept the Sabbath.
John 7:16 (KJV) — “My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me (YHWH - His Father.”
Matthew 23:1–3 (KJV) — He told the people to obey the teachings of Moses:
Yahshua lived by the Torah and taught its principles—not just the letter, but the spirit behind it.
Did the Law End at the Cross?
NO. The sacrificial system found its fulfillment in Yahshua’s death, but the moral and spiritual principles of the Law remain.
Romans 3:31 (KJV)
Romans 6:1–2 (KJV)
Romans 8:4 (KJV)
Those who become one with Messiah are given a divine nature with a New Spirit which makes it posible to live out the "righteousness within the Law!"
1 John 3:4 (KJV)
Prophetic Fulfillment
Luke 24:44 (KJV)
Yahshua fulfilled the Messianic prophecies, but that doesn’t mean the Law is obsolete. It means He is the goal and culmination of the Law.
Today Heaven and Earth Still Stand and the Law is at still vital! We are to Observe the Law in our lives!
